Liberazione
On April 25, 1945, the Allied troops and the partisan forces liberated Milan, Turin and Genoa from the nazi occupation. We still celebrate that day with marches in the major cities, and here follow a few images from the 2012 parade in Milan.

Yellow shirt and red tie make for a perfect outfit.

Although the march was quiet and peaceful, cops were armed and ready. After what happened in the G8 summit in Genoa, in 2001, they always make me uneasy.

This kid looked a bit worried, as well.
As they reached and occupied Piazza del Duomo, marchers mixed with tourists and other people who had nothing to do with them:

Politics is always a source for debate.
